My friend and frequent collaborator Eric Love runs a LARP Adventure Program, where he teaches live-action role-playing skills to kids and puts on awesome adventure events with them. I have shot some of these events and edited them to look as much as possible like real sci-fi or fantasy movies, for the kids and their families to keep on DVD. This fantasy-based event called “Shadows of Isle Eldarian,” produced for Arlington Enrichment Collaborative, took place underground and was staged at Metro Rock in Newburyport, MA. I love this kind of project as it combines fantasy (which originally got me into film and video) and education (which is increasingly what interests me these days.)
Music by Eric Love.

When my husband Dan brought our rosemary plant inside for the winter, he noticed two caterpillars on it, and let them stay in the hopes the would make cocoons. They did! Here’s a time lapse of one of them– 1 minute = 1 hour. A few weeks later, two brown moths came out and fluttered around our living room!

Two years ago my brother Kurt and his wife Anjali had a fabulous Hindu+Jewish wedding in Washington, DC. Local videographers Ben Williams and Lance Duvall shot the wedding day. I shot the pre-wedding events and edited three days worth of footage into this two-hour film. An epic video project for an epic wedding!

The Eight Muse’s live video for “North”, by Small Houses, singer/songwriter/guitarist Jeremy Quentin’s project. This song will be featured on his upcoming EP “Just Before the North”, which will contain songs Jeremy wrote while living in Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. This performance was recorded in his tiny Back Bay apartment the day before he left for good, to go on tour for many months and then return to his native Michigan to record.

In the vibrant yet slightly creepy world of Victorian-era Boston, a self-conscious student gets a little uncomfortable when his professor sends him to the home of a mysterious wealthy widow. But things really get interesting when she creates a clone of him to pose nude for her Bohemian friends to draw. It turns out this is just his introduction to the arcane world of alchemy.
Starring Alexander Lewis and Kim Kennedy. Written and Directed by Josh Kastorf. Produced by Josh Kastorf and Kim Kennedy. Music by Rob Byrd.
